Question 1

Why do headlights get yellow and foggy in Central Oregon?

Accepted Answer

Modern automotive headlights are manufactured from polycarbonate plastic coated with a thin factory UV barrier. Bend's 3,600+ ft altitude means intense ultraviolet radiation that breaks down this clear coat. Combined with road de-icers, volcanic cinder dust, and seasonal temperature swings, the surface oxidizes into a hazy yellow layer that cuts light output by up to 80%.

Question 2

How does your 4-stage mobile process differ from store DIY wipe kits?

Accepted Answer

Auto parts store wipe kits simply smear a temporary silicone glaze or light mineral oil over the dead plastic, which washes off in 2–4 weeks. Our process physically sands away the dead oxidized polycarbonate through progressive micro-grit wet abrasives (800 to 3,000 grit), buffs it optically smooth, and then bakes on a commercial-grade UV-blocking ceramic clear coat that bonds permanently for 3 full years.

Question 3

Do I need to be present while you restore my headlights?

Accepted Answer

Nope! As long as your vehicle is parked in an accessible outdoor spot (your driveway, apartment space, or office parking lot), we can perform the entire restoration while you work, sleep, or relax. We send you before & after photos via text when finished.

Question 4

Can you restore fog lights as well?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We offer a package that includes both headlights and lower bumper fog lights so your entire front lighting matches with razor-sharp factory clarity.

Question 5

Do you charge a mobile travel fee?

Accepted Answer

Zero mobile fees within Bend and Redmond! For outlying service areas like Sunriver, Sisters, or La Pine, mobile service is included with our standard package bookings.
